Neil Huff is a native of Atlanta, GA. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the highly acclaimed Risk Management and Insurance program at Georgia State University. He began to dabble in entertainment risks in the early 1980’s writing insurance for lighting, sound and staging companies as well as bands. He served as the broker for the band R.E.M. for 30 years.
In 1988 he became the insurance broker for the Theatrical Dealers Association (TDA), which became the Entertainment Services & Technology Association (ESTA) which is now the Professional Lighting and Sound Association (PLASA). He has served on many association committees and Working Groups including the highly acclaimed Technical Standards Program and the Entertainment Technician Certification Program (ETCP). He continues to serve as the association’s insurance broker and the broker for many individual company members of the association.
